Cedar Creek Sculptures creates timeless pieces of art with a graceful charm. All of their products are uniquely designed by resident artists and crafted with hand-forged steel, to last generations. Founded by Daniel and Bonnie Haney, this husband and wife duo came from very different backgrounds. Daniel is a self-employed businessman whose dream was always to express himself through art. Bonnie is a veteran IT manager of over 30 years who wanted to get away from corporate structure and politics.
They set out to build a business that focuses on serving others. Specifically, Cedar Creek Sculptures employs individuals ready to start fresh, giving second chances to those who have struggled in the past. They offer a safe space to learn new life skills, grow from mistakes, embrace accountability, take pride in their work, and walk alongside one another as a community.
Their desire is that one of their designs will find a special place in your heart & home, office, or establishment. Cedar Creek Sculptures’ products are a way to share their life through art, in many different forms.
Q: Where can I install a Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pit?
A: All fire pits should sit on brick, concrete, stone, or other masonry while in use. They recommend placing a paver between the fire pit and outdoor surface to avoid rust transfer. We do not recommend placing the fire pit on lawns, asphalt, or wood. They suggest placing it at least 25’ away from buildings, structures, vehicles, and any flammable items such as dry leaves and debris.
Q: Is the fire pit safe for my deck?
A: We suggest that you do not place Fire Pits on any flammable or combustible surface such as wooden decks. See the USE + SAFETY tab to learn more about proper installation.
Q: Are Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pits made in the USA?
A: All Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pits are handmade in Yacolt, Washington, and are designed by resident artists.
Q: Are Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pits wood-burning?
A: Yes, Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pits are wood-burning, but most can be converted to gas.
Fire pits can be purchased with the Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) or Natural Gas (NG) kits (installation not included). Match-lit and electronic ignition are available for both natural gas and liquid propane options.
If you have already purchased your fire pit they can also be converted to either propane gas or natural gas by purchasing a gas kit. See the MANUAL + SAFETY tab for gas kit instructions.
Q: How do I put wood into the globe fire pits?
A: The openings are large enough to easily fit an unsplit log 12 inches in diameter.
Q: What kind of maintenance do Cedar Creek Sculptures fire pits require?
A: It is recommended to empty the ashes periodically as they can be corrosive to the fire pit, when wet. It will also help keep the drain hole open.
We recommend using a rounded scoop shovel to clean out the ash. Some people cut the handles shorter for ease of use.

Warning Pursuant to Proposition 65
Proposition 65, officially the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings to be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.
Some of the products offered on this site may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects, or other reproductive harm. We are providing the following warning for products linked to this page:
For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
WHAT TYPES OF CHEMICALS ARE ON THE PROPOSITION 65 LIST?
The list contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.
The list of chemicals has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987, and continues to grow each year.
HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF?
The good news is that this law has caused many manufacturers to alter or change the way they produce products, in hopes to make them safer for consumers. However, there are still many items used every day that contain these listed chemicals that cannot be altered. As such, it is important for consumers to be made aware of the dangers and to take precautions when using these items to reduce or eliminate exposure. How you protect yourself largely depends on the product or place and the chemical you are trying to avoid.
WHERE CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION ON PROPOSITION 65?
If you have specific questions on the administration or implementation of Proposition 65, you can contact OEHHA’s Proposition 65 program at P65.Questions@oehha.ca.gov, or by phone at (916)445-6900.
